SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF VISUAL: Epernay is located in the wine region of "Champagne" in the heart of 30,000 acres of vineyards, surrounded by woods and bordered by the Marne. The city, 25,088 inhabitants of which are called "Sparnaciens", is at the heart of an ogglomaration of 40,000 people. It is the seat of the greatest Houses of Champagne and the center of a major international market. Epernay annually hosts nearly 450,000 visitors from al around the world, discover the Capital of Champagne and its area covered with vines. Its wonderfull "Avenue de Champagne" classified "Remarkable Site of Taste in France" and the landscape of Champagne are candidates for the UNESCO World Heritage.
In 2012, Epernay hosts the Spring philatelic exhibition organized by the CNEP.
